Your new position
This is a unique opportunity to join Seqwater on a casual basis as the Project Manager Specialist - Minjerribah. As the Senior Project Manager - Specialist you will be managing a diverse range of Seqwater projects and initiatives being undertaken as part of the Minjerribah Water Management Action Plan including:
- groundwater modelling and assessments
- land management
- cultural heritage management
- employment and economic development initiatives.
You will represent Seqwater in discussions with the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) about those initiatives, with a focus on agreeing collaborative approaches and ensuring that they are delivered. In addition you will be required to represent Seqwater in meetings with high level government and council stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the Water Management Action Plan and support and inform community and stakeholder engagement more broadly. You will use your expert project management skills to scope, plan and deliver complex projects across the breadth of the action plan, including relevant approvals.
The hours for this role will vary from week to week depending on project requirements but will average 1-2 days per week. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for some flexibility in balancing their personal and work commitments. Please note that this role will require travel to Minjerribah Island, as well as our Ipswich and City offices.
To successfully deliver the Minjerribah Water Management Action Plan you will need to use your expert level communication, stakeholder engagement and management skills to effectively liaise, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders, external and internal clients, team members, regulatory authorities and consultation groups. You will need to rely on your high level of experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams, consultants and contractors to achieve corporate goals and project objectives.
You will have significant proven experience in Project Management, and hold relevant qualifications in Project Management or similar.

This position will be offered under a common law contract with a salary package negotiable based on skills and experience.
