About Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Manager Operations, you will lead and mentor the Water Treatment team, promoting a culture of high performance and safety. You will oversee the efficient operation of Seqwater's water treatment assets in the Central Region, including the Mt Crosby East and West Bank plants, while driving operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

This role is responsible for:

  • Providing leadership to the Water Treatment team to foster a high performance and safety-focussed culture. 
  • Planning, developing and managing the effective and efficient operations of the assigned water treatment plants, wastewater plants and water supply facilities. 
  • Managing team members, contractors and suppliers to ensure effective performance of duties and delivery of services. 
  • Supporting the Manager Operations Central Region in implementing cultural change, vision and values and maintaining effective and common approaches to operational activities and communication across the Operations group to align to the Business goals. 

  

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:  

  • Comprehensive experience in operations and/or maintenance management of complex assets.
  • Demonstrated leadership and staff management skills related to leading teams across various locations, preferably in a utility or heavy infrastructure sector.
  • Possess a C class driver’s licence
  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role (desirable)
  • Extensive experience in the supervision and operation of water treatment plants, and associated infrastructure including experience in managing operations team to meet competing demands whist maintaining essential service delivery standards (desirable)

 

This position will be offered as an individual TFR package with an attractive salary and is a permanent full time role.
