About Your Opportunity
Join Seqwater’s project delivery team and play a hands‑on role in bringing critical infrastructure projects to life. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers to coordinate design, manage risks, support procurement, and keep construction and commissioning on track. If you’re driven, detail‑focused, and ready to make a real impact on water security for the region, this role offers the perfect blend of challenge and opportunity.
This position will be based on site at Toowoomba.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer with engineering and technical tasks throughout procurement, construction, and close‑out, while completing additional duties as required.
- Manage assigned work packages, ensuring performance requirements are met and progress is monitored against cost, scope, and schedule metrics.
- Review and assess engineering deliverables and construction activities to confirm compliance with relevant codes, standards, specifications, and quality assurance processes.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor contractor performance, including documentation reviews, quality control checks, RFIs, ITPs, NCRs, and testing, supported by regular audit activities.
- Maintain accurate photographic records of inspection and monitoring activities, escalating issues or queries to Senior Project Engineers.
- Engage with contractor personnel on site and in office settings to investigate technical, quality, safety, and environmental matters.
- Support project reporting by preparing monthly performance data, presentations, meeting agendas, minutes, and other documentation requested by the Project Manager.
- Contribute proactively to project processes, including ongoing assessment of environmental, quality, and safety risks and implementation of mitigation measures.
- Ensure effective project handover by coordinating the delivery of As Constructed documentation, operations manuals, and maintenance information in line with required standards.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering discipline (e.g. civil, mechanical)
- Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in infrastructure projects including 2 years’ experience as a project engineer
- Demonstrated experience in engineering and/or construction management, quality assurance, environmental management and WHS management related to infrastructure projects.
- Class C Driver’s Licence
- Construction Industry White Card.

This position will be offered contract with an attractive salary and 12.75% superannuation.
