About Your Opportunity
In this role, you will develop, deliver and evaluate behaviour change campaigns and content that support Seqwater’s strategic priorities. Your work will help more than three million South East Queenslanders understand the value of water security and the commitment behind Water for Life. You will design and manage market research programmes, translate insights into practical action, and provide strategic advice to senior leaders across the organisation.
Working within the Creative and Digital Services team, you will collaborate with colleagues across Education and Engagement, Major Project Communications and Media, the Office of the CEO and key external partners including state and local government, water service providers, industry organisations and community groups.
You will also manage external suppliers, contribute to incident and emergency communication rosters when required and play an important role in strengthening Seqwater’s digital presence across social media and online channels.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver strategic marketing and behaviour change campaigns that raise awareness of Seqwater’s priorities and build trust across key issues.
- Develop and implement brand, content and communication strategies that strengthen Seqwater’s reputation and support organisational objectives.
- Lead stakeholder, customer and community research programmes using analytics and insights to inform campaign planning and decision-making.
- Provide strategic marketing, campaign and digital content advice to senior leadership and the broader business.
- Manage external contractors and collaborate internally to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to scope.
About you
You will have demonstrated experience delivering high-profile public campaigns, coordinating market research, managing digital platforms and shaping communication strategies in complex or politically sensitive environments. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, sound judgement and an ability to build constructive relationships across diverse groups are essential. Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or public relations are highly desirable.
You will also possess:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate and engaging content for a range of channels and audiences.
- High attention to detail, supported by strong planning, coordination and time management skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability and resilience, with the ability to deliver quality outcomes under pressure and in changing environments.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion and professionalism in politically and socially sensitive contexts.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small, fast-paced team and contribute across multiple communication and engagement disciplines when required.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, supported by high emotional intelligence.
This role is offered as a 2-year fixed term contract with a salary ranging from $122,730.25 - $133,528.77 plus 12.75% superannuation (dependent on experience).
