About Your Opportunity
The Procurement Excellence Advisor is a key driver of procurement innovation and optimisation initiatives. This role supports the implementation of digital tools, recommends and implements communications across digital and traditional platforms, and plays a crucial part in delivering procurement excellence across Commercial Services and the broader organisation. The role is focused on continuously improving procurement workflows and delivering tangible value through automation and provision of self-help tools and resources for procurement leads and other procurement stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance the digital presence of Commercial Services, including external webpages and internal SharePoint content.
- Prepare and manage high-impact messaging across internal and external channels, ensuring alignment with Seqwater values and priorities.
- Develop and implement communication and engagement strategies for procurement improvement initiatives (e.g., e-Procurement system implementation, Commercial Services transformation projects).
- Collaborate with internal teams to analyse business requirements and provide guidance/resources that support compliance with Procurement policies and procedures.
- Identify optimisation opportunities that improve procurement efficiency and compliance.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Proven experience in procurement communications and resource management, including high-level administration of guidance repositories and strong proficiency in SharePoint.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Studies, or equivalent education/experience.
- High-level proficiency in procurement platforms and digital tools (e.g., Tech One, Zycus) and experience with digitisation and automation initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to translate complex procurement concepts into clear, accessible guidance and training material.
- Experience implementing procurement transformation initiatives and familiarity with emerging technologies and best practices in procurement.
- Desirable certifications such as CIPS or CPSM, and experience in Government or utilities sectors.
Key Position Information
- This role is offered as a 2-year fixed term contract with a salary ranging from $108,332.25 - $119,130.76 plus 12.75% superannuation (dependent on experience).
- The successful candidate will be required to work 2 days per week in the office including a mandatory day at our Ipswich office on Tuesdays.
- There is flexibility to work from home on the remaining three days of the week.
