About Your Opportunity

As the Emissions Data Analyst, you will provide specialist expertise in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions analysis, reduction strategies, and GHG mitigation program coordination to support Seqwater’s GHG emissions reduction strategy, regulatory compliance and mandatory GHG reporting. You will lead the development of analytical tools, systems, and processes for emissions reporting and forecasting, provide advice on strategic risk and policy, and deliver high-impact insights to inform corporate decision-making and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist expertise in analysing Seqwater’s greenhouse gas emissions across all scopes (1, 2, and 3), ensuring compliance with national reporting standards and audit requirements.
  • Design and implement analytical tools and data platforms to enhance Seqwater’s systems capability and lead initiatives to advance data and analytics maturity.
  • Deliver technical advice and support for GHG emissions reduction projects, including renewable energy, fuel, landfill, dams and weirs, and procurement strategies.
  • Support governance, strategy, risk management, and performance metrics for climate programmes, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes for Scope 3 emissions reporting and forecasting, including tools for capital planning and operational decision-making. 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science or Sustainability.
  • Extensive experience in GHG emissions analysis, climate mitigation strategies, and programme coordination within a complex organisational environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement data analytics tools, forecasting models, and reporting systems.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports and present complex information clearly.
  • Advanced knowledge of GHG emissions analysis, reduction strategies, and climate mitigation frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence corporate strategy.

This position will be offered on a 6 month fixed term contract and has a salary range starting from $115,844.14 per annum plus 12.75% superannuation.
