About Your Opportunity

Step into a hands-oneadership role as a Construction Manager within Seqwater’s Sustaining Capital team. You’ll play a critical part in the successful delivery of complex water infrastructure upgrades and asset improvement projects across South East Queensland.

Acting as the key interface between contractors, Seqwater Operations and project teams, you’ll help ensure minimal disruption to day-to-day operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

This is an opportunity for an experienced construction professional to make a real impact by helping deliver essential infrastructure that supports safe, reliable and sustainable water for the communities we serve.

Key responsibilities:

•  Lead the construction management of assigned projects, working closely with the relevant Project Manager to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality delivery.

•  Provide advice on project risks, mitigation strategies and key construction hold points.

•  Coordinate site-based construction activities with Seqwater Operations and internal teams to ensure alignment with operational and project requirements.

•  Undertake Mechanical, Electrical and Civil inspection, commissioning and handover activities, including:

  • Reviewing commissioning plans and inspection and test plans.
  • Witnessing Factory and Site Acceptance Tests and fabrication inspections.
  • Assisting in the preparation of commissioning and project finalisation reports.
  • Managing defect identification and rectification.
  • Facilitating the transfer of asset information and operations and maintenance documentation to Seqwater systems and teams.

•  Ensure site activities comply with safety, water quality, environmental and regulatory requirements, including the development of isolation plans, safe work procedures and permit management.

•  Audit contractor compliance with safety, environmental and quality management plans.

•  Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on progress, safety, risks, schedule, engineering and stakeholder matters.

•  Liaise with Seqwater Legal, Infrastructure Planning, and Workplace Health, Safety and Environment teams to manage permits and approvals.

•  Comply with Seqwater’s Code of Conduct, policies and all work health and safety, quality and environmental management systems.
