About Your Opportunity
As the Operations Project Specialist, you will serve as the key liaison and coordination point between the Project and Operational teams, ensuring the successful execution of asset improvement initiatives and the achievement of both project and business objectives. Additionally, you will oversee the delivery of various other operational-focused projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide operational expertise to Project Delivery teams delivering projects within the Region.
- Act as the key liaison between operational areas and project teams throughout the planning and delivery of projects within Sustaining Capital and Minor works delivered and planned.
- Align cross business planning and scoping to ensure best outcomes for the business in relation to reducing operation risk and alignment for all region projects which drive consistency and focus.
- Deliver allocated operational projects in accordance with Seqwater policies and processes and key areas of project management body of knowledge (PMBOK) or similar. This includes responsibility for controls and governance, risk management and reporting.
- Lead the development and maintenance of the Emerging Asset Risks (EAR), and be the key contact for the Region.
- Be the key point of contact between operations and SME’s across the region and develop ongoing site risk registers.
- Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of the asset risk register for the Region.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Qualifications and extensive experience in a Water Treatment or Dam Operations environment.
- Qualifications and experience in project management (highly desirable).
- Class C Driver's Licence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise, influence, and negotiate with key stakeholders, external and internal clients, team members, regulatory authorities and consultation groups.
This position will be offered as an individual TFR package with an attractive salary and is a temporary contract until April 2027.
