About Your Opportunity

You will provide strategic advice, mentorship, and coordination regarding risk, assurance and governance, to ensure the effective delivery of initiatives in alignment with organisational goals. You will contribute to the delivery of Seqwater’s short and long-term portfolio of capital delivery projects and collaborate with our project risk subject matter expert and other organisational subject matter experts to manage the assurance program.

This role is responsible for:

  • Leading the Governance and Assurance process and the Program Management Office’s internal audit function using an intelligence-based approach to support improvement and risk management in regulatory and best practice activities.
  • Developing and implementing a robust project assurance strategy and program that aligns with organisational goals and the projects risk profile.
  • Planning and conducting assurance reviews at various stages of project lifecycles, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies, working closely with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Relevant Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering or Project Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in project assurance, quality management or related field.
  • Experience in working with multiple projects involving several stakeholders.
  • Experience in written and oral communication with a range of stakeholders including Executives, Board and Government
  • Experience in leading, mentoring, developing staff and motivating project support teams

This position has a salary starting at $113,473 - $123,457 dependant on experience plus 12.75% superannuation and is initially offered on a 2 year fixed Term contract
