About Your Opportunity
The opportunity will be assisting the Project Managers with the successful and timely delivery of projects in the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery Group. You will be contributing to the delivery of the IPCD team, consisting of upgrades to Dams, treatments plans and pipelines across South East Queensland. This position will see you being primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of project schedules, and review of contractors’ baseline and progressed schedules.
You will be responsible for identifying what work needs to be completed, constructability issues and key project interfaces, ensuring that project performance and forecasts are accurately reported.
Key responsibilities:
- Working with the Project Managers define appropriate work breakdown, tasks, activity logic and durations for the development of schedules in line with the adopted project development and project delivery strategy.
- Monitor and control the project schedule through the various phases of the project lifecycle.
- Monthly reporting on project progress, variances and forecast changes.
- Identify activities impacting the schedule’s critical path and facilitating the identification of rectification measures.
- Review of contractor or consultant schedules to ensure they meet scheduling guidelines, including performing schedule health checks and reporting any concerns to the Project Manager.
- Administrator for Oracle Primavera P6 SAAS for group, including managing user access and privileges, new project set up and providing P6 training and advice for new and experienced users.
- Supervision and training of project schedulers to ensure scheduling procedures and guidelines are adhered to.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Minimum of 5 years scheduling experience within the Major Project space.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management, engineering, or business.
- Proven experience and skills in developing schedules and advanced skills in using Primavera P6.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in interacting with multiple stakeholders in a multi discipline large scale project.
- Strong analytical skills and project management skills including an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
This position has a salary range of $118,579 - $129,013 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
