About Your Opportunity
Are you ready to take the lead on high-impact dam construction projects? We’re looking for a Senior Project Delivery Manager to drive the successful delivery of major dam infrastructure works. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide strong leadership, strategic oversight, and hands-on management of internal and external project teams to ensure construction excellence.
You’ll be at the forefront of managing contractor performance, oversighting project progress, and resolving challenges, all while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance. Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with construction partners, consultants, suppliers, internal and external stakeholders, and communities to ensure smooth project execution. With a keen eye on dam safety and operational resilience, you’ll play a vital role in delivering projects that shape the future of water infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Project Director, lead an Owner’s team delivery oversight and administration of all site construction works and associated activities involving multiple construction contracts for large scale Dam Improvement activities, including the safe and efficient delivery of planned works to time and budget.
- Provide constructability and project cost and scheduling advice to dam projects in the pre-construction phase including: reviews of options assessments outcomes, constructability and safety in design, scheduling and budget/estimate peer reviews and involvement in procurement of suppliers and key contractors.
- Throughout the project lifecycle lead a team of specialists and provide a key owner’s project management interface with key construction contractors, suppliers and other service providers whilst creating productive and collaborative working relationships.
- Drive high quality and efficient procurement outcomes, project scheduling development, contract administration and related services through to commissioning and completion.
- Work closely with the project's Technical Lead to deliver a high standard of technical aspects of dam construction, including construction methods, whilst achieving compliance with dam safety requirements and all engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Significant experience acting as the principal contractor and/ or owner in the delivery of dam construction or similar large-scale civil engineering projects with high degrees of complexity and values greater than $500 million.
- Substantial experience in contract management and administration, including knowledge of requirements of various contract forms, including Australian Standards of General Conditions of Contract, contract law, quality assurance, environmental management and workplace health and safety management
- Highly developed interpersonal management skills, and ability to maintain open and effective working communication with a broad range of Contractors, Consultants, internal teams and stakeholders.
- Extensive and demonstrated skills and experience in the leadership of Owner’s teams including the ability to provide day-to-day leadership and direction, organise work, set priorities and oversight of all facets of Contractors’ project performance.
- Proven ability to minimise risks to project schedule, budget and delivery including controlling project scope and variations through the implementation of robust protocols.
This position will be offered as an individual TFR package with an attractive salary and is a permanent full time role.
