About Your Opportunity
Join Seqwater as a Plans and Drawings Technical Officer and play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our water supply infrastructure! You'll manage and control complex engineering drawings and documents, keeping them up-to-date and compliant.
In this role, you'll review, update, and maintain engineering drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring they meet Seqwater's standards. You'll also provide technical support and training to internal stakeholders, develop efficient document control processes, and ensure the integrity of critical engineering documentation.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and efficient document control and management of large volumes of highly complex infrastructure records including Engineering Drawings, CAD files and associated design records including maintaining the drawings database, allocation of drawing numbers, updating of drawing indexes, issue of native files, uploading of new or revised drawings, and annual drawing database health checks.
- Undertake detailed reviews of Engineering Drawings prepared for Seqwater for compliance with Seqwater Engineering Drawing Standards and provide feedback and advice to protect teams on compliance requirements.
- Prepare new or revised Engineering Drawings as requested using AutoCAD. • Assist in the preparation and delivering of training to internal stakeholders covering Seqwater Drawing Standards and Procedures.
- Assist in the review and updating of Seqwater Drawing Standards and Procedures to ensure they remain current and fit for purpose.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in drafting or engineering, with minimum technical qualifications at Associate Diploma, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor of Technology level in engineering design, drafting, construction management or a related field.
- High level of competency in preparing engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Strong ability to interpret, review and assess detailed engineering drawings covering all disciplines, preferably within the water industry.
- Strong experience in accurate and efficient document control and management of CAD files and engineering drawings of high complexity and large volume.
This position Has a salary range of $104,668 - $119,130 dependent on experience Plus 12.75% Super and is a permanent fulltime position.
