About Your Opportunity

As Group Support Officer, you’ll play a central role in supporting the Executive General Manager – Infrastructure, Planning & Capital Delivery (IPCD) and senior leaders. Working in a dynamic, high-performing team, you'll ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office through exceptional organisation, discretion, and proactive support.

You’ll be a key communication link between the IPCD Group, other Seqwater teams, and external stakeholders. Your ability to juggle complex priorities—such as diary management, document preparation, procurement, and project coordination—will be critical to the success of this role.

This is a great opportunity to work on meaningful initiatives that support the delivery of strategic water infrastructure outcomes for South East Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive & Office Support: Manage day-to-day office functions and provide high-level administrative support to the Executive General Manager and senior leaders.
  • Board & Committee Support: Coordinate the preparation of Board papers, agendas, reports, and minutes to a high standard.
  • Project & Administration: Support documentation, procurement, budgeting, and records management for group-wide initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for the IPCD Group, fostering strong communication across teams and with external partners.
  • Project Coordination: Assist with planning, reporting, research, and documentation to support project delivery.
  • Event & Leadership Support: Prepare materials for meetings and events, and act on behalf of the General Manager as authorised during absences.
  • Incident Response: Be available outside of standard hours to support emergency or incident response as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in executive administration and project support.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with minute-taking, report preparation, and managing office systems.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and act with discretion.
  • A sound understanding of project management principles and resource coordination.
  • A proactive approach to learning new systems, policies, and stakeholder environments.
  • A current ‘C’ class driver’s licence.

Position Details

  • Salary: AO5 $104,668 – $119,130 + 12.75% superannuation (dependant on Experience)
  • Term: 12-month fixed term contract
  • Pre-employment checks: Includes a national police check and may include other character/medical requirements.

  • Location: - This position will predominately be based from our Spring Hill Office, Brisbane CBD
