About Your Opportunity

As a Contract Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day management of IPCD contracts. You'll work within a team of Contract Managers to coordinate Seqwater's subject matter experts and support functions with their contract counterparts. Your responsibilities include handling all contract-related matters, monitoring contract performance, negotiating changes, reviewing proposals, and assisting with budget and financial controls.

Key responsibilities:

  • Represent Seqwater in relation to the assigned contracts, leading and managing the performance of selected contracts while developing and implementing contract management plans in accordance with processes and procedure.
  • Ensure administration processes are delivered in accordance with the contracts, approved contract management plans and Seqwater’s records management policy, including ensuring final documents are stored according to the relevant Seqwater policy.
  • Manage and negotiate contract variations in accordance with contractual processes and Seqwater policies.
  • Monitor and analyse contractor performance and compliance, addressing nonperformance to achieve contract outcomes, while producing and distributing reports and providing necessary advice to key stakeholders. Review and approve correspondence, business cases, performance reports, budget submissions, and contractor requests within your delegation.
  • End of Month reporting of the assigned contract(s) according to Seqwater’s business requirements (including inputting and updating project delivery information and status into Seqwater systems)

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essentials

  • Minimum of 5 years equivalent relevant professional experience managing or administering contracts.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications relevant to contract management, including Business, Commerce, Legal, Contract Management, Project Management, or the subject matter of the contracts being managed.

Desirables

  • Understanding of budget management in the context of contract oversight.
  • Experience across a range of delivery models including D&C, design-only, construct-only, collaborative contracting, target cost with gain/pain share mechanisms, PMC, and reimbursable arrangements will be highly regarded
  • Substantial knowledge and understanding of:

i. Performance measures and other KPIs used to incentivize desirable behaviors and the delivery targeted outcomes

ii. Contract management and audit practices.

iii. Budget management

  • Qualifications (or working towards obtaining qualifications
