About Your Opportunity

As an Advanced Control Systems Technical Officer, you will provide technical services support in respect to Telemetry and Control Systems associated water assets including all Seqwater Control System sites within the region. You will maintain SCADA and Process Control Systems and provide technical support to the Control Systems Technical Officers, Engineers, Coordinators and Managers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Participate in Seqwater Values and Safety objectives
  • Focus on delivery of Reactive and Preventative maintenance
  • Participate in on call roster to respond to emergency requests, as per rostered arrangements, outside of normal hours (i.e. on call)
  • Independently carry out investigations and compile reports
  • Develop test documentation to verify the operation of plant.
  • Manage system software, maintenance, backup and storage to prevent any loss of data
  • Refer decisions that emerge from work in progress which have a risk of impact on Operations
  • Receive task assignments from Senior Control Systems Engineer’s and Principal Control Systems Engineer’s
  • Participate in the commissioning of new assets as required.
  • Participate in out of hours and on-call rosters as required.

 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essentials

  • Advanced Dipolma or equivalent in an associated field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Suitable practical experience in an industrial environment.
  • Current unrestricted ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
  • Alignment with Seqwater values

Desirable

  • White Construction card
  • Trade qualification (Electrical and/or Instrumentation)
  • Knowledge and experience with Seqwater control and automation systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of control systems components and concepts.
  • Practical experience with the Siemens and Schneider PLC and SCADA products

 

This position has a salary range of $108,332.25 - $119,130.76 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.

 

Appointment to this role is subject to the provision of a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements. Please note that people with criminal records are not automatically deemed ineligible. Each application will be considered on its merits.
