About Your Opportunity

As the Procurement & Commercial Analyst you will analyse purchasing procurement data and spend analysis to drive commercial outcomes and enhance business decision-making. You will work with a range of purchasing and procurement data analysis, analysing market analysis to inform procurement strategies and operations. You will use your experience to identifying trends and opportunities for savings, and make recommendations for process improvement, ensuring that procurement decisions are informed by accurate and actionable insights.

Key responsibilities:

  • Procurement Data Analysis: Identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier performance trends, and risk mitigation strategies to support strategic, value-driven decisions.
  • Advanced Reporting & Dashboards: Collaborate on the design and delivery of analytical reports and dynamic dashboards that inform executive-level procurement strategies.
  • Process Optimisation: Analyse procurement workflows to improve efficiency, governance, and value creation across the function.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Translate complex data into actionable strategies that align with business goals, enhancing supplier selection and operational efficiency.
  • Digital Tools & Market Insight: Drive the implementation of digital procurement tools and monitor market dynamics to strengthen agility, competitiveness, and supplier relationships.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Analytical Curiosity: Demonstrates a natural interest in working with data, identifying patterns, and drawing insights that support smarter decision-making.
  • Tech-Enabled Mindset: Comfortable learning and using digital tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAP Ariba, Coupa) to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Process Improvement Orientation: Shows initiative in identifying inefficiencies and suggesting practical ways to streamline workflows or enhance compliance.
  • Collaborative Communicator: Works well with cross-functional teams, translating technical or data-heavy information into clear, actionable ideas that support business goals.
  • Strategic Thinking: Able to connect the dots between data, market trends, and business strategy—even if not yet in a procurement role.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Confident in presenting ideas and insights to others, including senior stakeholders, and adapting communication style to suit the audience.

While direct experience in procurement data analysis and reporting is not essential, candidates with relevant experience—particularly in using tools like Power BI, Tableau, SAP Ariba, or Coupa—will be highly regarded.

This position will be offered as a 2 year fixed term contract opportunity with a salary starting at $108,332.25 plus 12.75% superannuation.
