About your opportunity

Reporting to the Coordinator Supply Sunshine Coast, you will supervise an operation’s team for water treatment plants, and associated water supply facilities in the Sunshine Coast region (including Landers Shute WTP, Ewen Maddock WTP, Kenilworth WTP).  

You will oversee all operations, monitor performance, and manage reporting whilst ensuring optimisation of resource allocations and driving continuous improvement and change initiatives. 

This role is responsible for:

• Supervise treatment plant operations through rostering and scheduling, assigning duties, delegating tasks and responsibilities, monitoring and reviewing performance and resolving team issues.
• Review and report on capability and performance of water treatment plants
• Undertake operation and reporting on asset performance and maintenance systems/ programmes.
• Support and coordinate asset maintenance activities.
• Develop improvements and implement procedures and processes to assure achievement of requirements and continuous operational improvements.
• Apply Incident Management procedures/protocols.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have a Certificate IV or Diploma in Water Industry Operations and extensive experience optimising water treatment plants, and associated water supply infrastructure.  You will have demonstrated experience in supervising operations team to meet service delivery standards.

 In addition, you will demonstrate: 

• Experience in operating multiple water treatment facilities with a range of treatment technologies and/or water quality risk profiles. 
• Experience with operation and/or maintenance to pumps, valves, sludge dewatering equipment, chemical dosing and other equipment associated with water treatment.
• Competency in laboratory testing procedures and sampling techniques.
• Experience with multiple treatment plant PLC/SCADA control systems.
• Ability to develop business reports for treatment plant performance reporting and reporting against annual budget.
• Unrestricted Driver’s Licence 

This position has a salary range of $134,391.01 - $154,526.04 plus 12.75% superannuation and is full-time, permanent.
