About your opportunity
This position leads a team to ensure effective and efficient operation of Mt Crosby Water Treatment Plant, Seqwater’s largest WTP and associated water supply facilities. The key focus is to deliver reliable and safe treated water that meets internal and external customer expectations whilst optimising resource allocation, driving continuous improvement and ensuring business requirements are met
This role is responsible for:
- Supervise operators, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and task delegation
- Manage daily operations including rostering, scheduling, and performance monitoring
- Provide operational input into asset maintenance and incident management
- Deliver expert advice on water treatment processes and drive continuous improvement
- Prepare performance reports and support financial and administrative functions
- Promote Seqwater’s values and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Provide training and development to build team capability and resilience
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant Qualifications such as trade certificates, Water Industry Operations Certificate III
- Proven experience in water treatment operations and infrastructure
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to supervise teams and optimise work schedules
- Competency in SCADA systems, laboratory testing, and reporting
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to participate in on-call rosters
- Experience with multiple treatment technologies and control systems (desirable)
- Senior First Aid and confined space entry capability (desirable)
Appointment to this role is subject to the provision of a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements. Please note that people with criminal records are not automatically deemed ineligible. Each application will be considered on its merits.
This position has a salary range of $134,391.01 - $154,526.04 (dependant on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation and is full-time, permanent.
