About Your Opportunity
As the Senior Technical Specialist (Cloud), you will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and oversight of complex enterprise environments with a primary focus on Microsoft 365 (M365) solutions. You will ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the organization’s M365 services—including Entra, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Purview and related collaboration tools—while also providing support for cloud infrastructure administration. You will offer strategic guidance on emerging cloud technologies and best practices, mentor junior specialists, and collaborate cross-functionally to support business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, deploy, and configure Microsoft 365 solutions, including Entra, Exchange Online, Purview, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
- Develop and implement Microsoft 365 strategies, policies, and programs essential to Seqwater’s operations and business continuity.
- Offer high-level advice on M365 and cloud services across the organisation and externally.
- Oversee the ongoing management and optimisation of Seqwater’s cloud platforms, ensuring performance and alignment with strategic goals.
- Advocate for best practices and innovation in cloud platforms at inter-agency forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years’ experience supporting and managing Microsoft 365 environments within large and complex organisations.
- Strong experience configuring M365 services including Entra, Exchange Online, Purview, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
- Advanced knowledge of the complete M365 suite and ability to maintain expert-level technical understanding.
- High-level analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage a heavy workload, and deliver results under pressure.
The position is offered on a permanent full-time basis, with a competitive salary package including 12.75% superannuation.
