About Your Opportunity
Reporting to our Project Manager IPCD as a Senior Project Engineer, you will work on high-profile water infrastructure projects across South East Queensland. The role is part of a collaborative, innovative organisation focused on delivering “Water for Life” and embracing new technologies and sustainable practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager and design consultants across all phases of major projects, ensuring compliance with standards and contract requirements.
- Coordinate reviews of engineering deliverables and monitor contractor work for quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Track and report on project cost, schedule, and performance; assist with monthly reporting and documentation.
- Observe and comply with Seqwater’s health, safety, quality, and environmental management systems.
The successful candidate will work on a roster that may include weekends, public holidays, and on-call shifts (with allowances).
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering (civil, structural, mechanical) with at least 5 years’ experience delivering capital works projects; RPEQ or working towards.
- Qualifications in construction/project management and/or detailed business case planning experience is highly desirable.
- Experience working on roads, bulk earthworks, and mass concrete projects would be highly desirable.
- Class C Driver’s Licence, and Construction Industry White Card.
- Strong organisational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills; proficient in project management systems and MS Suite.
- Demonstrated alignment with Seqwater values and ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders, clients, and regulatory authorities.
This position has a salary starting at $ 149,648 – $162,324 plus superannuation
