About Your Opportunity
As the Senior Engineer – Operational Technology, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Operation Technology (OT) engineering standards and procedures. You will ensure the integration and security of industrial control systems, SCADA systems and other OT infrastructure to optimize operations and enhance productivity. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver robust and reliable OT solutions that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and maintain OT engineering standards and specifications, ensuring compliance, currency, and cost effectiveness.
- Provide OT engineering assurance through reviews, approvals, and endorsement of designs, reports, and investigations.
- Deliver expert technical support and problem solving to Operations and Maintenance to improve asset reliability and performance.
- Engage with operations and project stakeholders to ensure effective integration, security, and continuous improvement of OT systems.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant engineering degree with current RPEQ registration.
- Extensive OT/industrial automation experience (8+ years), including senior or technical leadership.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with PLC, SCADA, and OT/ICS systems, including OT networking and cybersecurity.
- Proven capability in engineering assurance, including standards, specifications, technical reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing consultants and contractors within quality assurance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
This position will be offered on a fixed term contract until 30 June 2026 with the potential for extension, and has a salary range starting from $132,746.14 per annum plus 12.75% superannuation.
