About Your Opportunity
As the Lead Fleet & Mobile Plant, you will lead Seqwater’s fleet and mobile plant function to ensure assets are safe, compliant, reliable and fit for operational requirements across the organisation. The role manages the full asset lifecycle, including planning, acquisition, deployment, maintenance, replacement, disposal and insurance, while balancing service delivery, risk, cost and performance. You will also provide expert advice to inform enterprise decision-making and drive improved safety, compliance, value for money and business continuity.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end management of Seqwater’s fleet and mobile plant lifecycle, ensuring safe, reliable and fit-for-purpose assets.
- Manage fleet operating and capital expenditure (~$5.5M), applying whole-of-life costing, risk and utilisation insights to inform investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, transport, environmental and regulatory requirements, including audit readiness, asset integrity and claims management.
- Develop and embed fleet strategies, policies and governance frameworks to drive consistent, compliant and efficient practices.
- Monitor and analyse asset performance, cost, risk and utilisation, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support enterprise decision-making.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant qualifications in logistics, engineering, asset management or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience leading fleet and mobile plant functions in complex environments.
- Strong leadership capability, including coaching teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience managing contractors and suppliers, including performance, risk and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to use data, governance and business partnering to improve safety, utilisation and service outcomes.
This role will be offered on a full-time permanent basis with a competitive salary, plus 12.75% superannuation.
