About Your Opportunity

Your role as a Business Support Officer will see you maintain an efficient and well organised office and provide timely and effective executive and administrative support services for the Dam Improvement Program. You will also work with the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery (IPCD) Group Support Officer and other Business Support Officers within IPCD to provide administrative support to managers and staff from other teams within the IPCD as required. To do so you will need to maintain effective communication channels and excellent working relationships both within Seqwater and with external contacts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain an efficient and well-organised office for the General Manager Capital Delivery, in an environment where confidentiality, responsiveness and proficiency are essential by ensuring that policies and office procedures are adhered to effectively and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels, feedback, support and follow-up mechanisms to ensure effective communication within the team and an effective interface between internal and external contacts.
  • Maintain effective office and time management practices by prioritising workloads, coordinating meetings and managing appointments for Managers.
  • Coordinate the preparation and distribution of  draft and final copies of communications reports, presentations, meeting agendas, meeting minutes and other documents as required.
  • Provide financial and minor HR administrative support to the Managers including management of invoices, processing corporate card expenses, tracking and reconciliation of budgets and preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports and the coordination of recruitment activities.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully providing high level administrative services, including those associated with financial transaction management using computerised financial systems.
  • Advanced word processing and keyboard skills and advanced skills and experience in the use of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing high levels of trust, integrity and responsibility in supporting the work and calendars of managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and escalate matters, particularly incoming correspondence and time sensitive matters, to high level managers.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining effective office systems and procedures.

This position has a salary range of $76,846 - $87,279 (dependant on experience) plus 12.75 % superannuation and is a permanent fulltime role.
