About Your Opportunity
Reporting to our Media and Communication Team Leader, you will lead, and in some cases, manage a range of communication activities including the delivery of internal and external communication activities and events, briefing and communication materials, reporting on team priorities and outcomes and assist in the management of emerging issues.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of internal communication and corporate communication plans, projects and activities that support organisational objectives.
- Provide strategic communication advice and build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of communication objectives.
- Develop and manage the delivery of communication materials for different audiences including content for external reports, articles and presentations, websites and newsletters to meet Seqwater brand guidelines.
- Receive and respond to media enquiries including preparing media releases and responses to protect Seqwater’s reputation monitoring media and inbox and reporting requirements.
- Liaise and coordinate complex responses to a range of issues to protect Seqwater's reputation and deliver external facing opportunities including but not limited to media conferences, public forums and media briefings.
- Participate in incident and emergency, flood operations and media on-call rosters as required.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or journalism or related filed or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three to five years’ experience in a corporate communications role.
- A C Class Driver’s Licence (desirable)
- Experience with Vision 6 (desirable)
- Experience working in a corporate communication environment involving crisis communication and issues management (desirable)
This position has a salary range of $104,668.84 - $115,102.18 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
