About Your Opportunity 

Drive real impact in catchment health for Seqwater’s water quality and supply objectives! We’re looking for a Lead – Source Protection Program to take charge of a dynamic portfolio of asset improvement projects, predominantly off Seqwater land, to enhance water quality outcomes. 

In this influential role, you’ll lead a skilled team, overseeing projects from initiation to delivery. Your technical expertise in catchment management, land condition improvement, program management and partnership management will be critical in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and governance forums within the broader Naturals Program.

Key responsibilities:  

  • Lead and oversee planning and delivery of the Source Protection Program, applying outputs from strategic planning, to achieve natural asset and water quality strategies. 

  • Actively review and maintain project and program performance within project software. 

  • Lead and oversee delivery and governance activities of the Source Protection Program through application of sound project management approaches. 

  • Lead and provide direction for asset improvement projects through all phases of Seqwater’s Asset Lifecycle Framework from inception to close out. 

  • Represent Seqwater where required to collaborate across delivery programs, strategic projects, or external collaborative projects and opportunities relating to the Source Protection Program. 

About you 

To be successful in this role, you will possess: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in project management, asset management, engineering, science or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Substantial experience in project management of multiple infrastructure projects or programs within the water and natural resource management industry. 

  • Strong experience in and knowledge of catchment delivery works, such as in/around waterways, including revegetation, agricultural improvements, bank stabilisation and weed management, collaborating with owners and key stakeholders. 

  • Experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to achieve natural asset improvement project objectives. 

  • Experience in the preparation of business cases, including management of the procurement process and development and execution of contracts. 

  • Class C Driver's Licence. 

This position will be offered as an individual TFR package with an attractive salary and is a permanent full time role.
