As the Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of projects within the Dam Improvement Program. By collaborating closely with the Project Manager and Project Team, you will navigate through the planning, design, and construction phases of major projects exceeding $500 million in value.
Your technical expertise will be instrumental in managing various project components, including cost, environment, program, quality, risk, safety, and scope. This dynamic role may also require relocation to the construction site to ensure the seamless execution of project activities.

Assist and support the Project Manager with engineering and technical activities during planning, procurement, construction, and close-out phases of major projects with values exceeding $500 million.

Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable codes, engineering standards, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.

Assist and support the Design / Project Manager with administration of relevant contracts, including reviewing and assessing contractor management plans, procedures, lot records, RFIs, ITPs, NCRs, and testing to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Inspect and monitor the contractor’s work on-site to ensure that documentation, quality, and workmanship are compliant with project requirements, and conduct regular audit activities to confirm.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., civil, structural, mechanical) and a minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering capital works projects.
This position will be offered as PO5 and is a permanent full-time role.
