About your opportunity
We are seeking an Operations Project Manager to assist in the coordination and delivery of operational and asset improvement projects. You will act as a key team member to ensure that projects are delivered within the planned scope, timeline, and quality standards, while minimising operational risks. You will also help to monitor emerging asset risks and assist in the coordination between operational teams and project delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
This role is responsible for:
- Assist in the coordination of operational projects within the Region, ensuring alignment with business objectives and safety standards
- Support the Senior Operations Project Specialist in liaising between operational teams and Project Delivery teams to ensure effective communication and project execution
- Monitor project progress and report on the status of projects, including risks, timelines, and budget, under the guidance of the Senior Operations Project Specialist
- Assist in the management of the Emerging Asset Risks (EAR) and contribute to the development of risk registers for the Region
- Contribute to the scoping, development, and design phases of projects, ensuring that operational considerations are integrated into project plans
- Support the preparation and review of technical documentation for tender processes and project assessment
- Assist in the review and identification of process improvements for asset management and project delivery
- Collaborate with operational staff to ensure smooth handover of projects and the integration of new plant and equipment into ongoing operations
- Participate in project risk management and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with Seqwater policies, processes, and quality management systems
- Support the Senior Operations Project Specialist with the planning and delivery of long-term asset management strategies
- Assist with project feasibility studies, options analysis, and process improvement trials as directed

About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in a Water Treatment, Dam Operations, or similar technical environment
- Basic project management experience or training (highly desirable).
- Class C Driver’s Licence
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively
- Competence in written communication, including the preparation of technical and operational reports
- Ability to work under the direction of senior staff and show initiative in managing tasks and projects
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to participate in and contribute to team discussions, identifying opportunities for operational improvements
- Proficiency with office software tools (Word, Excel, Project scheduling tools)
This position has a salary range of $122,730.25 - $133,528.77 (depending on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation and is full-time, permanent.
