About Your Opportunity
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll take the lead in projects from inception through to successful delivery—ensuring they’re completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You’ll be at the helm from the earliest planning stages, guiding cross-functional teams through design, tendering, and execution, all while aligning with Seqwater’s Lifecycle Framework and project governance standards.
This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact by managing the delivery of high-quality outcomes on one of our key water security projects - Wyaralong Water Treatment Plant. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, champion best practices, and ensure every phase of the project reflects Seqwater’s commitment to excellence, safety, and sustainability.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver projects through application of sound project management approaches, in accordance with Seqwater policies and processes and key areas of project management body of knowledge (PMBOK) or similar, including responsibility for controls and governance, risk management and reporting.
- Provide site supervision (as Superintendents Representative) of construction contractors.
- Lead and manage project requirements and teams through all phases Initiation to Close-Out Phase following the Seqwater Lifecycle Framework.
- Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and deliverables using project reporting software.
- Conduct regular status meetings and progress reviews with project team and stakeholders including performance, cost, schedule, and governance updates.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, business administration or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7 - 10 years’ experience in project management of multiple complex projects of multi-disciplinary nature.
- Qualifications for Corporate Membership to the Institute of Engineers Australia or Australian Institute of Project Management as a CPPM, or ability to gain qualifications within six months of appointment.
- Experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to achieve corporate goals and project objectives.
- Class C Driver's Licence.
This position will be offered as an individual TFR package with an attractive salary and is a permanent full time role.
