About Your Opportunity
As the Senior Procurement & Commercial Analyst you will provide authoritative Subject Matter Expertise and leverage procurement data and spend analysis, to provide senior leaders with complex data insights, that inform business-wide commercial decisions and drive strategic commercial outcomes. This role combines expertise in procurement data analytics, process optimisation, and environmental scanning, to inform and improve procurement strategies and operations, and enhance business decision-making. You will focus on identifying trends, opportunities for savings, and areas for process improvement, ensuring that procurement decisions are informed by accurate and actionable insights.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic Data Utilisation: Leverage procurement data to uncover cost-saving opportunities, assess supplier performance, and develop risk mitigation strategies that inform enterprise-wide decisions and deliver commercial value.
- Advanced Reporting & Insights: Design and deliver analytical reports and dynamic dashboards that provide actionable insights to guide executive-level procurement strategies.
- Process & Governance Optimisation: Lead initiatives to streamline procurement workflows, enhancing efficiency, governance, and value creation across the function.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate complex data into clear strategies by working closely with procurement and broader teams to align with business goals and elevate Commercial Service excellence.
- Digital Enablement & Advisory: Drive implementation and optimisation of digital procurement tools, and act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership by using data insights to support planning, risk anticipation, and growth opportunities.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Extensive Procurement Analytics Experience: Demonstrated expertise in procurement data analysis, spend analysis, and process optimisation, with a strong focus on delivering commercial outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Governance & Compliance Leadership: Proven ability to lead procurement process improvements and system implementations that enhance governance, compliance, and operational control.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in procurement tools and analytics platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Power BI, and Tableau, used to generate strategic insights and reporting.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence: Experience working across procurement, commercial, and finance teams to align data-driven insights with business strategies, with strong negotiation and influencing capabilities.
- Strategic Data Interpretation: Ability to analyse complex datasets, identify trends, and deliver strategic recommendations that shape procurement decisions and supplier performance.
This position will be offered as a 2 year fixed term contract opportunity with a salary range from $122,730.25 - $133,528.77 (dependant on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
