About your opportunity
As the Lead Process Hazard Analysis, you will lead Seqwater’s operational review of process safety hazards to support the achievement of organisational objectives for safety, water quality, environment and water supply. You will lead a team to identify, evaluate and identify mitigation measure of potential process safety hazards in Seqwater’s assets. You will collaborate across teams to support effective and efficient process safety hazard identification and risk mitigation.
This role is responsible for:
- Lead expert advice on process safety hazard identification, risk analysis, and mitigation
- Drive continuous improvement of process hazard analysis across operations
- Develop and implement a risk-based rolling review of process safety hazards
- Lead and enhance safety in design and hazard analysis processes within Operations
- Collaborate on maintaining and improving process safety hazard information, including tracking actions
- Develop and report on key process hazard analysis indicators
- Comply with Seqwater’s safety, quality, environmental, and conduct standards
- Perform additional duties as required

About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering in a discipline relevant to the position
- Current active RPEQ registration; or ability to acquire (in a discipline relevant to the position)
- Significant demonstrated experience in a related role
- Experience in process hazard analysis and systems
- Experience in developing effective cross functional teams
- Proven skills in communication, negotiation, co-ordination and consultation at all levels
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience leading technical teams
This position has a competitive salary range, plus 12.75% superannuation and is full-time, permanent opportunity.
