About Your Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Contract Administrator to join our Commercial and Contract Management Team within the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery Group (IPCD).

In this role, you will support the successful performance and delivery of Seqwater’s capital works and professional services contracts. You’ll partner closely with contract managers, project teams, external stakeholders, and contractors to ensure compliance, effective administration, and continuous improvement across contract processes.

Your contribution will help strengthen the commercial capability of the business and ensure that key infrastructure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver contract administration and technical support for the IPCD Group, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement robust systems and processes to support efficient contract administration and contractor performance management.
  • Provide expert advice to contract managers and administrators on contract requirements and best‑practice processes.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in accordance with Seqwater’s Records Management Policy.
  • Analyse contract performance and prepare reports highlighting expenditure, KPIs and compliance.
  • Conduct regular assessments and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Finance, and Procurement to ensure alignment of contract obligations and project delivery.
  • Identify training needs and deliver targeted capability‑building sessions for stakeholders.
  • Comply with Seqwater’s safety, environmental and quality management standards and procedures.
  • Undertake other duties as required and uphold Seqwater’s Code of Conduct at all times.

About you:

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience in contract administration, contractor performance management and financial oversight of professional services and capital works contracts.

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Law or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Capabilities

  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven ability to analyse data, solve problems and identify improvement opportunities.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Sound understanding of probity, confidentiality and conflict‑of‑interest management.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a complex business environment.
  • Demonstrated alignment with Seqwater’s values of integrity, respect, care and courage.

This position will be offered as a full time role with an attractive salary.
