About Your Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join the Infrastructure Planning & Capital Delivery group to lead the delivery of several critical capital projects for Seqwater.
In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary project teams in the end‑to‑end delivery of complex asset improvement projects — from initiation and design through to tender, delivery and close‑out.
You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining strong governance, safety, and quality standards.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high‑quality outcomes aligned to Seqwater’s strategic objectives. This role is instrumental in shaping the future of water infrastructure across South East Queensland.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead projects using sound project management methodologies aligned with Seqwater policies and PMBOK frameworks.
- Manage project teams across all phases of the Seqwater Lifecycle Framework, from Initiation to Close‑Out.
- Provide site supervision as Superintendent’s Representative for construction contractors.
- Oversee performance, schedule, budget, governance and risk management for all assigned projects.
- Conduct project meetings, reviews and progress updates with stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in delivery processes, systems and long‑term asset planning.
- Proactively manage stakeholder relationships and initiate corrective actions as required.
- Foster an empowered, innovative and collaborative project team culture.
- Lead project handover activities, ensuring successful transition to operational teams.
- Adhere to Seqwater’s safety, environmental and quality systems and Code of Conduct.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, business administration or related field.
7–10 years’ experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects valued over $5M.
Eligibility for Corporate Membership with Engineers Australia or the Australian Institute of Project Management (CPPM).
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, consultants and contractors.
Class C Driver’s Licence.
Strong experience in procurement, sourcing strategies, business cases, contract execution and contract management.
This position will be offered as a max term employee contract and will involve site work.
