You’ll be working on some of the most high-profile water infrastructure projects in the industry, helping to secure Water for Life for generations to come.

 

The position will be based on site in Toowoomba as a maximum term contract until end March 2028.

 

About Your Opportunity

 

As a Landholder Liaison Officer, you will serve as a key link between the organisation and landholders, including Traditional Owners, supporting respectful, transparent, and legally compliant access to land for activities associated with the Toowoomba to Warwick Pipeline. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of stakeholder engagement strategies, uphold cultural heritage responsibilities, and foster strong community relationships, ensuring outcomes that are sustainable, collaborative, and mutually beneficial.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with landholders, Traditional Owners, community groups, and internal stakeholders
  • Act as the key point of contact for landholders, managing enquiries, coordinating access arrangements, and addressing community concerns
  • Facilitate negotiations and agreements for land access, ensuring compliance with all legal and cultural heritage requirements
  • Develop and implement effective land access and liaison procedures to support project delivery
  • Communicate clearly and transparently about project timelines, impacts, and opportunities for local engagement and participation
  • Monitor and report on stakeholder engagement activities, identify risks, and ensure all activities align with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and company policies

 

 

 

 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

 

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role
  • Experience in management and application of:

- Land access legislation, cultural heritage obligations, and community dynamics

- Relevant Queensland and Australian regulatory guidelines, standards and requirements to Land Access and Landholder Liaison

- Experience developing operational planning processes and the coordination, preparation and administration of budgets

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, land access, or community liaison roles within mining, coal seam gas, or infrastructure sectors
  • Proven high level skills in consultation, negotiation and co-ordination, and the ability to work with people at all levels internally and externally
  • Unrestricted Class C driver’s license
  • Alignment with Seqwater values.

 

 

This position will be offered as an individual TFR contract with an attractive salary.
