About Your Opportunity
Reporting to our Supervisor – Catchment and Recreation, you will lead and carry out day to day operations and maintenance works across Seqwater’s natural assets in the Central region, including catchments and recreation facilities, in order to provide safe and fit for purpose facilities suitable for public use.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver a range of works across the Central region, including grounds maintenance, landscaping, tree planting, recreational asset maintenance, fencing, and minor capital improvements, to ensure sites and facilities are safe and fit for purpose.
- Arrange and supervise work conducted by Field Rangers and/or contractors as required to ensure facilities are fit for purpose and maintained in accordance with agreed standards
- Maintain firebreaks and respond to wildfires to protect Seqwater’s assets, including planning and conducting prescribed burns as per Seqwater’s fire management strategy.
- Develop daily, weekly and monthly work plans to ensure the most effective use of resources and the completion of work in accordance with relevant standard operating procedures.
Hours and Locations
This role will be part of team that works on a roster including weekends, public holidays and some on-call work (shift allowances apply), with the primary location being our iconic Lake Manchester site.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Unrestricted C Class Drivers Licence
- Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or deemed equivalent.
- Minimum three years’ experience in natural resource management
Appointment to this role is subject to the provision of a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements. Please note that people with criminal records are not automatically deemed ineligible. Each application will be considered on its merits.
This position has a salary range of $99,264 - $116,451 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation and is a full-time permanent position.
