About Your Opportunity
Join Seqwater as a Senior Project Engineer and help deliver major water infrastructure projects valued at $50M+. You’ll provide trusted technical leadership across planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, working closely with a skilled project team to drive performance in cost, schedule, quality, safety, environment, and risk. This hands‑on role includes time on site, guiding engineering decisions, overseeing contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with Seqwater’s IPCD processes. It’s a chance to shape high‑impact projects that strengthen long‑term water security while advancing your expertise in complex infrastructure delivery.
This position will be based on site at Toowoomba.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Project Manager across planning, procurement, construction, and close‑out for major projects exceeding $50M, including key engineering and technical activities.
- Assist with engaging and managing design consultants and coordinate with Engineering Standards and Assurance to review technical deliverables for compliance.
- Monitor adherence to codes, standards, specifications, and QA/QC requirements, including reviewing contractor plans, lot records, RFIs, ITPs, NCRs, and testing.
- Conduct site inspections to verify contractor documentation, quality, and workmanship, carrying out regular audits and contributing to environmental, safety, and quality risk assessments.
- Track and report on project cost, schedule, and quality performance, support monthly reporting and documentation, and ensure complete handover packages including As‑Constructed and O&M manuals.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. civil, mechanical) and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in water infrastructure projects.
- Hold an RPEQ, mandatory
- Qualifications in construction / project management will be highly regarded.
- Class C Driver’s Licence
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Alignment with Seqwater values
This position will be offered contract with an attractive salary and 12.75% superannuation.
