About Your Opportunity

As a Technical Specialist – Spatial Services, you will support, maintain, and administer a wide range of complex, business critical spatial applications, systems, and data. You will deliver guidance and advice to stakeholders and application specialists on optimal approaches for configuring and managing spatial solutions that meet business needs. The role involves providing training and support to ensure effective use of spatial technologies across the organisation. You will also collaborate within the team to develop, implement, and manage Seqwater’s Spatial Services, including producing high quality support and operational documentation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical support and administration for spatial systems, ensuring timely incident and problem resolution.
  • Deliver specialist advice, training, and guidance to optimise the use and configuration of spatial applications.
  • Lead and contribute to technical projects, including design, implementation, upgrades, and system enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain business requirements, technical specifications, and operational procedures for spatial systems.
  • Produce high‑quality spatial information (reports, analysis, maps) to support business decision‑making. 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Management, GIS, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting complex spatial applications in a large enterprise environment.
  • Strong experience managing spatial information, enterprise geodatabases, versioning, and workflows within an Esri environment.
  • Demonstrated capability in spatial analysis, web mapping solutions, and presenting insights to support business decision‑making.
  • Experience developing high‑quality spatial outputs (maps, reports, graphical and tabulated information) and associated technical documentation and training materials.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse stakeholders.

This role will be offered on a full-time fixed term contract until March 2028, with a competitive salary, plus 12.75% superannuation.
