About Your Opportunity
As the Fraud and Privacy Specialist, you will lead the implementation of Seqwater’s Fraud and Corruption Control Framework and Information Privacy Framework, ensuring strong governance, effective risk management, and compliance with legislative and policy requirements. You will provide operational oversight of fraud and corruption prevention, detection, and response activities, along with privacy management activities. This will include undertaking risk assessments and investigations, provide reporting, and delivering awareness programs, while ensuring alignment with regulatory obligations and fostering a strong integrity culture across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Seqwater’s Fraud and Corruption Control and Information Privacy Frameworks, including strategy development, governance, and compliance activities
- Conduct and maintain fraud, corruption, and privacy risk assessments, ensuring effective controls and second line assurance are in place
- Oversee investigations into fraud, corruption, and privacy matters, including reporting and root cause analysis
- Manage internal reporting and recording keeping, and external reporting obligations to regulatory bodies (e.g. CCC, QAO, Ombudsman, OIC)
- Design and deliver awareness, training, and engagement programs to strengthen organisational capability and integrity culture in respect of Fraud and Corruption Control and Information privacy.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in law, governance, risk management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certificate IV in Government Investigations.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing fraud and corruption control strategies and applying information privacy frameworks.
- Proven experience leading investigations and managing external reporting obligations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and raise awareness on fraud, corruption, and privacy matters.
- Strong knowledge of governance, risk, and regulatory frameworks, including relevant legislation (e.g. Crime and Corruption Act, Information Privacy Act).
This role will be offered on a full-time permanent basis with a competitive salary, plus 12.75% superannuation.
