About Your Opportunity
As Senior Project Cost Controller you will work closely with project managers and delivery teams, you will provide expert financial analysis, cost control, forecasting and reporting to help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with organisational objectives. Your insights and guidance will support informed decision-making across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects that help provide essential water services to our growing communities.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical and collaborative professional to contribute to the delivery of significant infrastructure investments while partnering with stakeholders to drive project performance and financial excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide expert cost control and financial analysis across major capital and operational programs, delivering insights and guidance to Project Managers on project performance, expenditure, budgets and forecasts.
- Support project delivery through robust financial management, including budget development, forecasting, change control processes, variance analysis and financial reporting for complex infrastructure projects.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships by partnering with Program Management Office teams and collaborating on governance, risk, assurance, procurement and project controls requirements.
- Drive compliance and data integrity by maintaining project control frameworks, delivering training and guidance to stakeholders, and undertaking detailed reviews of project reporting systems to ensure accurate financial data and timely corrective actions.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce, business studies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience related to major infrastructure project delivery. Predominately in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and cost estimation.
This position will be offered on 6 months contract with an attractive salary and 12.75% superannuation.
