Your Opportunity
We’re looking for an Engineer / Hydrologist to support Seqwater’s flood operations and dam safety activities. Whether you’re early in your career or an experienced professional, this is your chance to contribute to systems, data and processes that keep our communities safe during flood and emergency events.

What You’ll Do
Depending on your experience, you may:
- Provide technical input to assist with safe and efficient flood operations across Seqwater’s dams.
- Carry out hydrologic and hydraulic assessments, modelling and reviews to support operational decision-making.
- Contribute to preparing reports on flood operations performance to meet regulatory requirements.
- Be part of the Flood Operations Centre team, supporting real-time decisions during flood and emergency events.
- Assist with developing and improving Seqwater’s flood forecasting and decision-support systems.
- Work collaboratively with dam safety engineers, emergency services, regulators and councils on flood management planning and response.
- Support continuous improvement projects, including updating documentation, refining procedures and improving data quality and analysis tools.
- Participate in technical forums and interagency workshops to help strengthen regional flood resilience.
What You’ll Bring
We welcome applications from candidates with:
- A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
- RPEQ (Civil) registration or ability to become RPEQ as part of career progression.
- Knowledge of hydrology and Australian Rainfall and Runoff principles.
- Experience in flood operations or dam design hydrology will be highly regarded (but not essential).

This position has a competitive salary range, plus 12.75% superannuation and is full-time, permanent.
