About Your Opportunity

Step into a pivotal role as a Project Manager within Seqwater’s Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery Group, where you’ll lead the successful planning and delivery of critical water infrastructure upgrades, refurbishments and new builds.

You’ll manage projects that enhance the performance, efficiency and compliance of our water supply and treatment assets—such as treatment plants, pipelines and distribution systems—ensuring they are delivered safely, within scope, on time and on budget.

Working closely with internal teams, contractors, consultants and key stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in maintaining strong governance, managing risk and driving high-quality outcomes that support Seqwater’s long-term capital delivery program and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver water infrastructure improvement projects using sound project management approaches (PMBOK or similar), ensuring strong governance, risk management and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate internal delivery and support teams, contractors and consultants to ensure alignment with operational objectives, regulatory requirements and project outcomes.
  • Manage contractor performance, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, budget and quality standards using Seqwater project management systems and tools.
  • Monitor, report and communicate project progress, milestones and performance against agreed objectives, technical specifications and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to detailed project planning, including scope, schedule, budget and resource allocation to meet current and future asset demands.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and complex technical issues, including operational, safety and environmental considerations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including operations teams, asset managers, regulators and government agencies.
  • Comply with Seqwater’s work health and safety, quality, environmental management systems and Code of Conduct at all times.

About you

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex capital construction, maintenance and/or refurbishment projects across the full project lifecycle.
  • Proven experience administering contracts, including documentation, approvals, performance management, budget and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience delivering projects in operational environments with minimal disruption to services.

Additional Requirements

  • Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera or similar).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
